Why are people different on social media than they really are? 🤔
Hello readers, 🤗
Based on our experiences we can definitely agree that we act differently online than in reality. Trying to know which one is the real you ?
My opinion might seem like a psychologist or so but I think..... Social media is a place where you can be your ideal self and can express yourself without interruptions..... It’s a very controlled and easy to manipulate environment. People who are not happy in their life will escape to social media land of illusion, and create the person they want to be.....Some get suppressed is the second part.
Contradicting the above statement some think not everyone on social media is inauthentic, although many are. And some are outright dishonest and scammers. But social media can be similar to playacting. People can put on a “mask” and be someone else—if only to play a character.
You might have observed the difference between diversity of voices and opinions online and in the real world......In my opinion, people trying to be themselves on social media get suppressed by the contradictory opinions of others and shut then and there itself....perhaps this is the only reason we see less diversity in reality.
A lot of people being trolls online will not choose to be the same in the real world. When trolls are brought in front of the troll victims they choose to stay silent.....It clearly suggests that knowing that they are wrong they still play their role (masked behind...).
My page my thoughts....NO offense
